What is one thing in life your friends said you could/would never do, but you did it anyway?

Well, I seem to remember several friends telling me that getting together with Dr T* would be a bad idea. One decade and seven years of marriage later, I still think they're wrong. :-)

*Of course, she was neither a Dr or a T when we got together. More of a Miss E.
